• Health Insurance Law

    This law regulates the health insurance of citizens, rights and health insurance obligations, as well as the manner of implementation of health insurance.

    Health insurance is established as mandatory and voluntary. Compulsory health insurance is established for all citizens of Republic of Macedonia for providing health services and money compensation on the principles of comprehensiveness, solidarity, equality and effectiveness use of funds under conditions determined by this Law. Voluntary health insurance is established to provide health services not covered by compulsory health insurance.

  • Law on Protection of Patients' Rights

    This law regulates the protection of patients' rights in the use of health care, the duties of health institutions and health workers and associates, municipalities and the health insurance fund in the promotion and protection of patients' rights, the procedure for protection of patients' rights, as well as and oversight of law enforcement.
