Law on Free Legal Aid
This law regulates the general rules for providing free legal aid, types, scope of free legal aid, providers and beneficiaries of free legal aid, their obligations and responsibilities, the procedure in which the right to free legal aid, funding, reward and reimbursement of expenses for the provided free legal aid, free legal aid in cross-border disputes, transparency and accountability in the provision of free legal aid, special legal aid procedures, supervision over the application of this Law and other issues related to free legal aid.
The purpose of this law is to enable and promote the right of individuals to access justice and equitable judicial protection. The right to free legal aid is exercised in the scope and procedure regulated by this Law. This law does not apply to legal matters for which free legal aid is provided by special laws.
